Epictetus
Epictetus (c. 50-135 AD) was a Greek Stoic philosopher, born a slave in Hierapolis (modern-day Pamukkale, Turkey). Despite his humble beginnings, he became one of the most influential teachers of Stoicism - a school of philosophy that emphasises virtue, reason, and inner freedom.
